Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform shop and field service work on heavy equipment as required.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and functional testing.
• Identify faults, determine repair plans, and complete repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Accurately document repairs and service details using computer-based work order systems.
• Work independently or with the team to maintain a safe, efficient shop environment.

Requirements

• Required:
  • Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician certification.
  • Strong experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of off-highway heavy equipment.
  • Comfortable using digital work order systems and diagnostic tools.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Personal toolbox and trade tools.

• Preferred:
  • Experience across multiple makes and models in construction, forestry, and mining applications.
