A leading heavy equipment maintenance provider in Timmins, ON, is hiring Underground Heavy Duty Technicians to repair and maintain underground mining fleets. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain underground mobile mining equipment to maximize availability.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and component change-outs to site standards.
  • Complete clear service reports and communicate findings with supervisors and peers.
  • Support reliability by identifying recurring issues and recommending corrective actions.
  • Travel to and work across local mine sites as required.

 

Requirements:

  • Required:
    • Red Seal/Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (Off-Road).
    • 2+ years of experience working on underground mining equipment.
    • Willingness to travel for on-the-road assignments to local mine sites.
  • Preferred:
    • 4+ years of mining maintenance experience.
    • Experience working on ultra-class mining equipment.
    • Prior exposure to multi-site maintenance or contractor environments.

Shifts

Multiple rotation options available to suit individual lifestyles, including:

  • 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off

  • 7 days on, 7 days off

  • 5 days on, 2 days off, followed by 4 days on, 3 days off

All rotations include consistent 12-hour shifts with opportunities for additional hours.

Compensation

  • $57.00 – $62.00 per hour, based on experience, with overtime paid at time and a half.
  • $3,000 referral bonus for each successful referral.
