Job Description

An established and proactive employer is looking to hire experienced Journeyperson Trailer Mechanics and/or Certified Welders to join their service team is West Edmonton, AB. This is a brand new building/facility with all of the space, tooling and organized supports!

Responsibilities:

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to; maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, suspension, brakes, air systems, and structural steel on haulers and trailers in the fleet. Mechanics will be expected to complete documents related to the maintenance reports and documentation, and perform maintenance-related work as required while maintaining a clean, safe work area. We are in need of a Journeyperson Trailer Mechanic or Certified Welder that is willing to continue to learn in the trade. 

Requirements:

• Valid Trailer Mechanic License or Welding Certification
• 2+ years of experience working in the trades.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical or structural steel.
• Must enjoy a fast-paced environment and take pride in your work 
• A valid driver's license is required (Class 1 or 3 is considered an asset)
• Must possess own set of tools 
• Active CVIP License preferred but not required

Shift Schedule:

• Day Shift, Monday - Friday.

Compensation:

• $36.00 - $40.00/hour, based on previous experience/training/certifications.
