Job Description
Actively filling a Trailer Technician position based in Green Bay, Wisconsin and involves performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet of trailers including van trailers, walking floor trailers, belt floor trailers, flatbed trailers, and specialized equipment. The role operates in a laid-back, family-oriented environment with modern diagnostic tools and well-maintained shop facilities. This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical expertise and independent decision-making.
Requirements:
Must-haves:
3+ years of trailer maintenance and repair experience
Proficiency with chassis systems: brakes, suspension, air systems, ABS, tires, and lights
Experience with trailer body work including panel replacement and light welding
Ability to perform DOT inspections and diagnostics
Valid driver's license
Own hand tools (minimum half-inch drive set)
Not entry-level; experienced technician required
Nice-to-haves:
Experience with van trailers (preferred over specialty trailers)
CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
Air conditioning certification
Experience with multiple trailer brands
Compensation & Benefits:
Wage: $27$30/hour (based on experience)

Hours:
10-hour shifts: 6 AM4 PM, MondayFriday
Overtime available after 40 hours (mechanics average 4045 hours/week; minimum 40 hours guaranteed)
Approximately 5+ hours overtime weekly
Approximately 90% shop work; 10% field work (service calls, DOT inspections in good weather)
On-call rotation for weekends (non-scheduled)
No Saturday/Sunday regular shifts; on-call only for emergency breakdowns
Half-hour unpaid lunch break
