Job Description

A long-standing heavy haul and specialized transportation company is seeking a Truck and Transport Mechanic to join their team in Stony Mountain, MB. This is primarily a shop-based position with occasional field service work, maintaining a modern fleet of late-model tractors and specialized trailers. Requirements

Must-haves:

• 5+ years of experience repairing heavy-duty trucks

• Valid Truck and Transport Mechanic Certification (310T / Red Seal or equivalent)

• Experience working on electronically controlled diesel engines

• Ability to perform routine maintenance, annual inspections, engine and transmission repairs

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

• Own a standard set of hand and power tools for transport maintenance

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience working on specialized heavy haul equipment and trailers

• Familiarity with Cummins, PACCAR, Allison, Meritor, Bendix, and WABCO systems

• Experience using diagnostic software such as Cummins INSITE and PACCAR diagnostics

• Ability to perform field service repairs as required

Compensation & Benefits

• Wage: $40–$45/hour (based on experience and skills)

• Overtime: Paid in accordance with the Canada Labour Code

Hours

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, or as required

• Work Environment: Heated, well-lit shop with one pull-through bay and two truck bays

• Field Work: Occasional field service work as required

• On-Call: Occasional evening and weekend work may be required
