A growing equipment service team in Tuscaloosa, AL, is hiring an experienced Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair forklifts and industrial equipment. This is not an operator role—we’re looking for skilled mechanics. Apply now to join a high-performing field team!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts and other heavy equipment at customer sites.
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure peak equipment performance.
• Manage and maintain service truck inventory to support efficient daily operations.
• Communicate clearly with customers, providing expert solutions tailored to their needs.
• Adhere to safety standards and continuously improve through OEM and in-house training.
• Support knowledge-sharing across the team and assist in onboarding junior techs.

Requirements:

• Required:
  • Candidates must have mechanic/repair experience. This is not a forklift operator role.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of hands-on repair experience with lift trucks, forklifts, or material handling equipment.
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills for diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check, DOT physical, and drug screening.
  • Own a full set of tools suitable for field service work.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Preferred:
  • ASE Certifications in brakes, electrical, diesel, or preventative maintenance.
  • Forklift operator certification.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industrial safety standards.
