Join our team as a Field Service Heavy Equipment Mechanic in the Virginia, MN area, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing underground mining equipment at high-profile sites. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with strong mechanical or electrical skills and a passion for troubleshooting and diagnostics. You’ll work independently with the support of a dynamic team and be provided with a company vehicle for approximately 25% travel.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Inspect equipment to identify faults or malfunctions and ensure proper performance.
• Adjust, repair, or replace defective components or systems according to scope of work.
• Test repaired equipment to confirm proper operational performance.
• Accurately complete time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and stay updated on industry, product, and technical best practices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure smooth operations and high levels of satisfaction.
• Provide commissioning and training for new equipment at customer sites.
• Ensure compliance with Company, Customer, State, and Federal safety regulations.
• Spend most of your time in surface mining environments, requiring comfort with these conditions.

Requirements:

• Technical certification or diploma in mechanical or electrical fields with 7+ years of industry experience.
• Diesel and high-voltage electrical experience are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems, including the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with a customer-focused personality.
• Self-motivated, flexible, and safety-conscious, with the ability to work independently and halt work when necessary for safety.
• Experience with ISO Standards compliance.
• Valid driver’s license required for travel responsibilities..
