A specialized emergency-vehicle service operation is hiring a Heavy-Duty Truck Diagnostic Technician in Vista, CA to diagnose and repair mission-critical fire apparatus. Ideal candidates are experienced heavy-truck technicians with strong skills in chassis electrical diagnostics, air brake systems, steering and suspension, and air conditioning diagnostics and repair. Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex chassis electrical issues on heavy-duty fire apparatus and emergency vehicles.
• Troubleshoot and repair air brake, steering, and suspension systems.
• Diagnose, service, and repair heavy-duty air conditioning systems.
• Perform bumper-to-bumper maintenance and repairs on mission-critical specialty vehicles.
• Use diagnostic tools and testing procedures to identify root causes and verify completed repairs.
• Follow safe work practices and maintain high repair standards to keep emergency vehicles reliable and service-ready.

  • Strong chassis electrical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Hands-on experience repairing air brake, steering, suspension, and heavy-duty air conditioning systems.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and testing procedures to identify complex vehicle issues and verify repairs.
  • Must provide personal tools; shop equipment and vehicle lifts are provided.
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment criminal background check and basic physical exam.
