Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using appropriate diagnostic tools.
• Conduct safety inspections and preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
• Ensure compliance with MTO standards and company safety policies, including PPE use.
• Respond to emergency roadside or on-site repair needs promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain parts inventory, order supplies, and manage vendor relations.
• Keep detailed logs of maintenance and repair activities.
• Collaborate with operations to schedule maintenance and prioritize urgent repairs.
• Communicate with drivers and supervisors regarding vehicle status and timelines.

Requirements:

• Required:

  • Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician License.
  • 3+ years of experience servicing and repairing heavy trucks and trailers.
  • Strong understanding of diagnostic tools, engines, hydraulics, electrical, and suspension systems.
  • Familiarity with Ontario commercial vehicle regulations and MTO compliance standards.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
