A growing, well-equipped diesel repair shop in West Park, FL, is hiring a Diagnostic Diesel Technician with strong experience in electrical systems and engine troubleshooting. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, including Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Paccar, Volvo, and CAT.
• Troubleshoot and repair transmission systems (Allison, Eaton) and brake systems (Bendix, WABCO).
• Program and calibrate ECMs, TCMs, ABS modules; adjust parameters and perform software updates.
• Utilize diagnostic tools including Cummins Insite, DDDL, Service Ranger, Bendix ACOM, Allison DOC, TechTool, Calterm, and Davie4.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams for trucks and trailers.
• Conduct DTC code analysis, testing procedures, and electrical system diagnostics.
• Maintain clear documentation of diagnostics, repairs, and programming procedures.

Requirements:

• Required:

  • 3+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in engine diagnostics for Detroit, Cummins, Paccar, Volvo, and CAT engines.
  • Hands-on experience with ECM/ABS/TCM programming and calibration.
  • Working knowledge of diagnostic tools such as Insite, DDDL, ACOM, and TechTool.
  • Ability to read complex wiring diagrams and conduct full-system troubleshooting.

• Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Calterm, Davie4, and additional diagnostic platforms.
  • Prior experience in a high-volume fleet or commercial repair environment.
