Duties & Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts, including electrical, hydraulic, and brake systems.
• Perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance on material handling equipment.
• Replace and adjust defective parts; conduct battery and tire maintenance.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Operate diagnostic tools, meters, and hand/power tools for repairs.
• Maintain service logs and CMMS records; ensure work meets safety standards.
• Perform welding (Stick and MIG) as needed.
• Assist with conveyor system maintenance and other general plant repairs.
• Uphold high standards of safety and cleanliness in the work area.
• Communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors as necessary.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience repairing forklifts (Crown, Raymond, etc.) or equivalent mechanical background.
• Knowledge of electrical systems (up to 480V), hydraulics, and lead-acid battery maintenance.
• Ability to read schematics and operate diagnostic/testing equipment.
• Power industrial truck certification and valid driver’s license.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to travel between local distribution centers as needed.

Preferred:

• Welding skills (Stick/MIG).
• Background in manufacturing, automotive, military, or trade school training.
