
Forklift Mechanic
Job Description
Join a fast-paced distribution team in Worcester, MA, as a Forklift Mechanic, maintaining and repairing essential warehouse equipment. Ideal candidates have forklift repair experience in warehouse environments. $1,500 sign-on bonus available – apply today to join the team!
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts, including electrical, hydraulic, and brake systems.
- Perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Replace and adjust defective parts; conduct battery and tire maintenance.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Operate diagnostic tools, meters, and hand/power tools for repairs.
- Maintain service logs and CMMS records; ensure work meets safety standards.
- Perform welding (Stick and MIG) as needed.
- Assist with conveyor system maintenance and other general plant repairs.
- Uphold high standards of safety and cleanliness in the work area.
- Communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors as necessary.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience repairing forklifts (Crown, Raymond, etc.) or equivalent mechanical background.
- Knowledge of electrical systems (up to 480V), hydraulics, and lead-acid battery maintenance.
- Ability to read schematics and operate diagnostic/testing equipment.
- Power industrial truck certification and valid driver’s license.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physically demanding tasks.
- Willingness to travel between local distribution centers as needed.
Preferred:
- Welding skills (Stick/MIG).
- Background in manufacturing, automotive, military, or trade school training.

Shifts
- Standard schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
- One Saturday shift every 5 weeks (6:00 AM – 3:30 PM).
- The Monday before your scheduled Saturday is a day off.
Compensation

$28.00–$36.00/hour (based on experience, certifications, and training).
