Its a simple, but valuable trick in a mechanics practice that can save some undue stress. Before working on vehicle, roll down one window to ensure that you don’t lock yourself out. This is specifically important with newer vehicles, some of which have an automatic system that locks all the doors when the ignition switch is turned on. Some may roll your eyes, but it happens out there more then you hear…….if it happens once, its one to many times.
