Diesel Mechanics Program Summary:
The Diesel Mechanics Technology program is a study of engines manufactured by Caterpillar, Cummings, Detroit Diesel, International, John Deere, and other companies. These power plants are used in trucks, earth moving equipment, farm tractors, generators, locomotives, and marine applications. All vehicle systems are covered in the program including transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, and computer controls.
Students may earn a Certificate. Students enrolled full-time may complete a certificate in as little as three to four semesters (12 to 18 months).
What requirements do I need in order to enroll?
A student without a high school diploma or GED Certificate is eligible to enter this program. Students without a high school diploma or GED and applying for financial aid must take the Ability-to-Benefit test prior to enrolling.
