Diesel and Industrial Technology Training Program Summary:
DURATION: You have choices. Diesel & Industrial Tech Program is 45 weeks or the Auto/Diesel and Industrial Program is 75 weeks. Classes start every 6 weeks.
In the Industrial course segment, you’ll tackle agriculture, construction and excavation equipment. The Diesel segment trains you to service Class 3-8 diesel trucks from air brakes, fuel systems and power trains to advanced diagnostic systems. You’ll work on transport refrigeration and hydraulic applications too. This is uber hands-on training—all in UTI’s state-of-the-industry classrooms. After program completion, specialize your training through manufacturer-supported electives:
1. Cummins® Diesel: 12-week Cummins Engines Elective, you’ll train exclusively on Cummins mid-range and heavy duty engines.
2. Cummins® Power Generation: The 12-week Cummins Power Generation Elective will help you master the fundamentals of Cummins electrical generators and power generation systems. And upon graduation, you’ll be certified on all Cummins Power Generation products.
3. Daimler® Trucks: 12-week The Daimler Trucks of North America (DTNA)” Finish First” elective puts you on the road to a career as a Daimler Trucks service technician. As a “Finish First” student, you’ll learn how to maintain, diagnose and repair DTNA products that include Freightliner, Sterling and Western Star Trucks.
As a successful graduate of the program, you’ll get certification in DTNA curriculum courses and become a qualified DTNA service technician.
