Alvarez (56-1-2, 38 KOs), 31, of Guadalajara, Mexico, is a four-division world champion. He won the WBA and WBC belts in December with decision victory over then unbeaten Callum Smith. He then added the WBO title with a TKO victory against Billy Joe Saunders in May in Arlington, Texas.

Plant (21-0, 12 KOs), 29, of Nashville, Tennessee, defeated Jose Uzcategui in 2019 to win the IBF strap, and has defended the belt three times. Plant has fought the majority of his career at 168 pounds.

The winner of Alvarez-Plant will become the first undisputed champion at super middleweight in the four-belt era.

Canelo Alvarez vs. Caleb Plant: Fight card, odds, PPV price, date, rumors, info for title unification bout A four-belt super middleweight unification is set for Nov. 6 in Las Vegas

t’s once again Fight Week in Las Vegas. Sin City is set to play host to the biggest star in all of boxing when unified super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez looks to achieve undisputed status in the 168-pound division against IBF champion Caleb Plant. It all goes down on Saturday, Nov. 6, from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and airs live on Showtime PPV.

Alvarez has been a one-man wrecking crew since moving up in weight to “dare to be great” against larger foes. He’s marched through Callum Smith, Avni Yilidirim and Billy Joe Saunders to earn the WBA, WBO and WBC super middleweight titles, with a violent stoppage of former light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev thrown in. Plant, meanwhile, earned the IBF title at 168 pounds in January 2019 and has made three successful defenses since then.

The undercard features a few names fans will recognize when they make the walk to the ring on Saturday ahead of the super middleweight showdown. One in particular also resides in the 168-pound weight class as former champion Anthony Dirrell returns against Marcos Hernandez to open the show. Dirrell, 37, ran off six straight wins from 2015 to 2019 en route to grabbing the WBC title, but dropped it one fight later by TKO to David Benavidez in September 2019. He’s fought just once since then — settling for a draw against Kyrone Davis this February.

Plus, Mexican super lightweight Elvis Rodriguez returns from more than two years away when he takes on Juan Pablo Romero. Rodriguez, 30, owns a perfect record of 34-0 in the ring with 22 knockouts. However, following his most recent win in July 2019, Vargas suffered a broken leg and was named “champion in recess” by the WBC for the super bantamweight division. Coupled with the COVID-19 pandemic and recovery, Vargas has not been seen since that decision win over Tomoki Kameda.
