A well-established agricultural service provider near Auburn, Indiana is looking to add an experienced AG Field Technician to their team. This is primarily a field service role (approximately 90% field / 10% shop) focused on diagnosing, servicing, and repairing agricultural equipment at customer locations.

This position is ideal for a mechanic who enjoys working independently in the field, solving complex mechanical and electrical issues, and supporting farmers with reliable equipment service during critical operating seasons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair agricultural equipment and diesel-powered machinery in a field service environment.

• Perform advanced diagnostics on electrical systems, sensors, control modules, and wiring harnesses.

• Repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, and drivetrain components.

• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to accurately identify mechanical and electronic faults.

• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections to ensure reliable operation.

• Communicate repair findings and service recommendations to customers and management.

• Maintain accurate service records and complete repair documentation.

• Maintain organization and proper care of service truck, tools, and equipment.

• Follow safety procedures and company standards while working on-site at farms and agricultural operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as an Agricultural Equipment Technician, Diesel Mechanic, or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

• Strong diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting skills are required.

• Experience diagnosing CAN-bus systems, sensors, wiring issues, and electronic control systems preferred.

• Solid understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and agricultural equipment operations.

• Ability to work independently in a mobile field service environment.

• Valid driver’s license required.

• Must have own tools.

• Strong communication skills and professional work ethic.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $32.00 – $40.00 per hour, based on experience.

Shift & Schedule:

• Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

• No Saturday shifts from December through February
