Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance and repairs on excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and similar heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Use schematics, technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and testing procedures to identify issues and confirm repairs.
• Complete welding, soldering, and fabrication projects to repair or modify equipment.
• Perform inspections, tire service, alignments, heavy lifting, and related mechanical work to keep equipment operational.
• Follow safe work practices and clearly communicate repair needs and maintenance updates to internal teams and external clients.

• • Proven dealership or heavy equipment maintenance experience with Caterpillar or similar diesel-powered equipment.
  • Working knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with diagnostics, welding, soldering, fabrication, power tools, and mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Strong inspection and troubleshooting skills with the ability to clearly explain repair and maintenance needs.
  • Able to perform physical repairs and work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship and complete a pre-employment criminal background check.
