Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel and propane forklifts and related material-handling equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and testing procedures.
• Complete pre-use, post-use, and scheduled equipment inspections to confirm safe, reliable operation.
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance schedules, and parts-usage documentation.
• Work with equipment operators and operations leadership to identify performance issues and prioritize repairs.
• Follow OSHA, PPE, and site safety requirements while maintaining a clean work area and supporting additional operational projects as needed.

Requirements

• Required:

• • Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining forklifts or similar industrial material-handling equipment.
  • Working knowledge of diesel and propane systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment diagnostics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and use hand tools, diagnostic tools, and testing procedures; company tools are supplied.
  • Strong problem-solving, documentation, communication, teamwork, and attention to detail, with a commitment to safe work practices.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, read, write, and communicate in English, and work in outdoor lumberyard and open warehouse conditions with noise, dust, temperature changes, and moving machinery.
