Heavy Equipment Service Technician
Job Description
A long-established equipment dealership in Brookline, MO (near Springfield) is hiring a Heavy Equipment Service Technician to diagnose, repair, assemble, and recondition equipment. Ideal candidates bring heavy or industrial equipment experience and hydraulic, electrical, and diagnostic skills. Duties & Responsibilities
- Service, repair, assemble, and recondition heavy and industrial equipment.
- Diagnose equipment problems and identify necessary repairs and replacement parts.
- Perform equipment inspections and maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Communicate repair findings and progress to the Service Manager and customers.
- Maintain shop tools, equipment, and a clean workspace while following DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
- Complete ongoing technical training and service-school courses to maintain and develop repair skills.
Requirements
- Required:
-
- Degree in Diesel Mechanics, Diesel Technology, or a related field, plus 1 year of heavy or industrial equipment experience; or equivalent training and experience.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, diagnostics, and calibration.
- Own and maintain personal tools and a toolbox.
- Valid driver’s license, maintained throughout employment.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills, with attention to detail and safe work habits.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions and noisy environments.
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug test.

- Overtime available
Compensation

$25.00 – $36.00/hour based on experience

Efficiency bonus of $3.00 – $5.00 per billed hour, based on efficiency
