Job Description

Filling a Class B Truck Mechanic position is based in Calera, Alabama and involves performing DOT-level repairs and basic maintenance on a fleet of newer model heavy-duty trucks including Kenworth, Mack, International, and Volvo trucks. Work is primarily shop-based with occasional local field calls within 30 minutes of the terminal. The role operates in a clean, well-organized facility with a stress-free team environment.

Requirements

Must-haves:
• Minimum one year of mechanical experience
• Valid driver's license
• Own basic hand tools
• Class B mechanic qualifications or equivalent certifications
• Ability to live within 30–45 minutes of the terminal
• Willingness to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude

Nice-to-haves:
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Additional certifications beyond Class B standards
• Experience working on newer model heavy-duty trucks

Compensation & Benefits

• Wage Range: $25.35–$26.35/hour (based on experience and certifications - comp increases for each ASE, CDL, or Welding Certification, up to $7/hour on top of base pay for a fully certified technician) 
• Second Shift Differential: +$1/hour
• Overtime: Available up to 10–15 hours weekly; paid after 40 hours per week

Hours

• Secondary Shift : 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Mechanics will start off on the day shift and will be moved to second shift after 90 day probationary period) 
• Work Environment: Predominantly shop-based; occasional field work within 30-minute radius
• Overtime: 10–15 hours weekly as needed
