Job Description
Filling a Class B Truck Mechanic position is based in Calera, Alabama and involves performing DOT-level repairs and basic maintenance on a fleet of newer model heavy-duty trucks including Kenworth, Mack, International, and Volvo trucks. Work is primarily shop-based with occasional local field calls within 30 minutes of the terminal. The role operates in a clean, well-organized facility with a stress-free team environment.
Requirements
Must-haves:
Minimum one year of mechanical experience
Valid driver's license
Own basic hand tools
Class B mechanic qualifications or equivalent certifications
Ability to live within 3045 minutes of the terminal
Willingness to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude
Nice-to-haves:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Additional certifications beyond Class B standards
Experience working on newer model heavy-duty trucks
Compensation & Benefits
Wage Range: $26.50$30/hour (based on experience and certifications)
Second Shift Differential: +$1/hour
Overtime: Available up to 1015 hours weekly; paid after 40 hours per week
Annual Raises: Applied yearly

Vacation: Accrued (1 week after 1 year; 2 weeks after 23 years)
Hours
Primary Shift: 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
Secondary Shift (when available): 11:00 AM 7:00 PM
Work Environment: Predominantly shop-based; occasional field work within 30-minute radius
Overtime: 1015 hours weekly as needed
