Job Description
We are seeking a Truck Service Technician for our Kent, Washington location to join a rental fleet maintenance team. This role involves maintaining and servicing vacuum trucks and street sweepers, performing preventive maintenance, conducting diagnostics, and completing custom equipment modifications. You'll work in a clean, organized four-bay shop environment with a team focused on quality workmanship and continuous learning.
Requirements
Must-haves:
Minimum 45 years of experience in heavy truck maintenance or heavy equipment maintenance
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and CAN bus diagnostics
Proficiency with hand tools (up to 3/4-inch drive), multimeters, and micrometers
Ability to diagnose and repair body-side systems (not chassis or engine work)
Valid driver's license
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
Pass background check, criminal record check, and drug screening
Nice-to-haves:
ASE Automotive certifications
Prior experience with vacuum trucks, street sweepers, or rental fleet equipment
Experience with Elgin or Vector systems
Demonstrated diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
Compensation & Benefits
Wage Range: $33$40/hour (base); competitive rates up to low $40s depending on experience
Overtime: Paid after 40 hours per week; voluntary Saturday shifts available (05 hours/week typical)

Hours
Schedule: 7:308:00 AM to 4:305:00 PM (flexible start/end times)
Work Environment: Primary shop-based work; minimal field work after initial training period
Seasonal Considerations: Increased activity during fall leaf season and spring cleanup
On-Call: None required
