Description

Starting pay for this position is $19.75. Work hours can vary, but is typically from 4 am to 2 pm.

• Inspect, diagnose and repair diesel-powered vehicles and equipment (primarily forklifts).
• Perform regular, routine check-ups and preventive maintenance on diesel powered tractors, live haul trailers and feed haul trailers.
• Troubleshoot faults, repairing or replacing defective/damaged components.
• Inspect and diagnose trailer malfunctions.
• All other relevant duties to the position.

Requirements

• Driver’s License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record required.
• Working knowledge of diesel mechanics required.

Physical Requirements

• Travel regularly to assigned farms.
• Frequently lift 50+ lbs.
• Walk in an outside environment (including inclement weather conditions) on a daily basis.
• Constantly subject to dusty and hot environments.
• Frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles.
• Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
