Job Description
We're seeking a Diesel Mechanic for our maintenance-focused fleet service operation in Phoenix, AZ. This is a laid-back shop environment where you'll diagnose and repair complex electrical and hydraulic systems on a 30-unit rental fleet. You'll have autonomy to manage your work with collaborative problem-solving support from management. The shop is clean, well-equipped, and emphasizes work-life balance over high-volume production.
Requirements:
Must-haves:
Advanced troubleshooting experience with electrical and hydraulic systems
Experience with Cummins and Paccar engines
Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
Proficiency with diagnostic software (Nor-Gun, Cummins Insight, or JPRO)
Valid driver's license
Pass background check, criminal record check, and drug screening (DOT compliant)
Hands-on technical skills verified through demonstration
Nice-to-haves:
ASE or OEM certifications
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Experience with dump trucks, dump trailers, or walking floor equipment
Industrial or factory hydraulic/electrical experience (truck experience not required)
Compensation & Benefits:
Wage: $37.00-$45.00/hr
Overtime: Paid after 40 hours/week

Hours:
Schedule: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM, MondayFriday
Overtime: Approximately 5 hours/month (minimal)
Work Environment: Shop-based (8,000 sq ft facility); approximately one service call per month within 150200 mile radius
Travel: Minimal field work; primarily in-shop diagnostics and repairs
