Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Diesel Truck Technician to join a small, tight-knit team on a remote island location in Massachusetts. You'll work on a diverse fleet of Class 8 trucks and heavy equipment in a well-maintained shop with modern facilities. The company provides free shared accommodations and the work environment is easy-going but expects punctuality, responsibility, and self-sufficiency. We value problem-solving and initiative—if something doesn't seem right, we investigate together rather than working around obstacles.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of heavy diesel wrenching experience on Class 8 trucks, and heavy equipment
• Proficiency with basic truck maintenance (brakes, steering, suspension, oil changes, tire service, greasing)
• Experience with electrical, hydraulic and aftertreatment diagnostics and complex repairs
• Welding or fabrication skills
• Willingness to learn and ask for help when needed, reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Valid driver's license as well as preferably a CDL

Compensation & Benefits:

• Wage: $35–$55/hour (based on experience; negotiable for the right candidate)

Hours:

• Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM 
• Overtime: Available after 40 hours/week; approximately 10 hours per is week typical
