Job Description

A well-established heavy equipment service provider is looking to add an experienced Field Service Heavy Equipment Mechanic to its growing team in the San Marcos, TX area. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys working independently, diagnosing complex equipment issues, and providing top-quality field service to customers.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of heavy equipment in the field.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and emergency repairs.
• Repair hydraulic, electrical, engine, drivetrain, and undercarriage systems.
• Utilize OEM diagnostic software to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Complete work orders accurately while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience repairing heavy construction, earthmoving, mining, or agricultural equipment.
• Experience servicing equipment from manufacturers such as CAT, Komatsu, CASE, John Deere, Hitachi, Volvo, or similar.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills involving hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Experience using OEM diagnostic software such as CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, JPRO, Tech Tool, or equivalent.
• Solid experience repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment components.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a field service environment.
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and commitment to safe work practices.

Compensation & Benefits

• Up to $56.00 per hour
• Overtime available after 40 hours per week 
• PTO begins upon hire.
