A long-established commercial truck dealership in Halethorpe, MD (Baltimore County) is hiring a Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks. Ideal candidates bring diesel engine, electrical, hydraulic, and diagnostic experience. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues on heavy-duty trucks using advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Troubleshoot diesel engine malfunctions and perform repairs to restore vehicle performance.
• Conduct vehicle inspections to identify safety concerns and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and other routine services.
• Collaborate with fellow technicians to prioritize repairs and maintain efficient shop workflows.
• Maintain accurate work orders documenting repairs, services performed, and parts used.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, electrical components, and commercial truck repairs.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot diesel engine and electrical issues.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and hydraulic problems and identify appropriate repair solutions.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Physical ability to lift heavy components and work in varying shop conditions.

Preferred:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Diesel Technician.
• Previous diesel dealership experience.
