A well-established landscape contractor is hiring a 310T Mechanic in Hamilton, ON to maintain fleet trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. Ideal candidates have 310T certification and mixed-fleet repair experience. Apply now to join a heated shop with long-term stability!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, service, and repair fleet trucks, trailers, and landscaping equipment, including excavators, skid steers, dozers, and backhoes.
• Perform preventative maintenance and semi-annual inspections to keep vehicles and equipment safe, reliable, and road-ready.
• Troubleshoot and repair gasoline and diesel-powered systems across a mixed fleet of trucks and heavy equipment.
• Tag and report faulty tools or equipment in accordance with company red tag procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized heated shop, ensuring tools are in good working order and securely stored.
• Complete monthly fire extinguisher inspections and identify and report hazardous conditions to management.

Requirements:

• Required:

• • Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician certification.
  • Valid Class G driver’s license or higher.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing gasoline and diesel-powered trucks and heavy equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards, hazard recognition, and safe shop practices.
  • Must supply own tools.

• Preferred:

• • Experience servicing landscaping or construction equipment such as excavators, backhoes, or skid steers.
  • Background completing fleet, trailer, and equipment repairs in a commercial, landscaping, or construction environment.
