A specialized lifting equipment service team is hiring a Shop Crane Technician in Haslet, TX, in the north Fort Worth area, to diagnose, repair, and maintain truck-mounted cranes and equipment. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair trucks, truck-mounted cranes, and railroad equipment.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical problems and complete repairs and maintenance.
- Perform preventive maintenance, winterization, corrosion control, and component upgrades.
- Remove, overhaul, assemble, adjust, and replace major components and systems.
- Service powertrain, brake, steering, fuel, emission, air conditioning, and hydraulic systems.
- Complete machine shop work, mechanical adjustments, and alignments.
- Test equipment after repairs and support compliance with applicable safety and engine standards.
- Document service work, maintain shop tools and equipment, and coordinate parts and supply needs.
- Assist with quotes, bid specifications, customer communication, and service follow-up.
- Participate in training and stay current with technical and regulatory updates.
Requirements
- Required:

- 3+ years of heavy-duty truck and truck-mounted equipment experience in a shop or mobile service environment.
- Strong hydraulic and electrical diagnostic and repair skills.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work closely with management and customers.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must live in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.
- Must pass a background check.
- Preferred:

- Experience with truck-mounted cranes, knuckle booms, man lifts, or material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with brands such as Kenworth, Sterling, Palfinger, Fassi, Cormach, Socage, Elliott, and Terex.
- Good computer skills, including working knowledge of Excel and Word.

Shifts
- Day shift, Monday to Friday
- Overtime available, including weekend work as needed
- Overtime paid after 8 hours worked each day
Compensation
- $32.00 – $46.00/hour to start, based on previous experience, training, and certifications
- Quarterly technician efficiency bonus up to $8,000 per year
- Sign-on bonus available
