Job Description
We are seeking experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic and a Service Technician for our new satellite service facility in Madison, Georgia. You'll work in a newly built, modern facility with three roll-up doors and a wash pad, servicing a small rental fleet of primarily Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks powered by Cummins engines. The role involves maintenance, repairs, and fleet management in a shop-based environment with minimal on-call requirements. Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- Minimum 5 years of heavy duty diesel mechanic experience (Lead Mechanic)
- Chassis repairs and air brake systems expertise
- DOT compliance knowledge and certification eligibility
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Own hand tools
- Ability to work independently and communicate proactively with management
Nice-to-Haves:
- Hydrovac and HVAC experience
- PTO (Power Take-Off) and hydraulic systems knowledge
- JPRO and Cummins Insight software proficiency
- Previous leadership or team lead experience
- 1–3 years heavy vehicle experience (Technician level)
Compensation & Benefits:
Lead Mechanic Wage: $35–$40/hour (flexible at top end for hydrovac/CDL experience)
- Technician Wage: $25–$30/hour (based on experience)
- 401(k): 2% match (begins after 6 months)

Hours:
- Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Occasional after-hours work by appointment (no regular on-call)
- Minimal overtime expected initially (~10 hours/week maximum)
- Approximately 99% shop-based work
- Minimum two employees required on-site for safety and operational reasons
