Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Field Service – Union Position (Staten Island, NY)

Applicants must have extensive equipment experience. And a CDL with ability to work out of a 33k GVW service truck. Preference will be given to those with prior dealership and service truck experience.

Shift Schedule:

• Day Shift, Monday – Friday with a flexible start time.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, inspect, and repair heavy equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and after-treatment systems.
• Use advanced diagnostics with OEM software (CAT, Cummins, Volvo, Komatsu).
• Complete maintenance reports accurately.
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance to keep equipment operating efficiently.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience with heavy equipment or construction machinery.
• Experience with trucks is a plus.
• Prior field experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose emissions/after-treatment systems.
• Valid Class A driver’s license.
• Own set of tools.
