Job Description

A reputable and well-established employer is looking to add Marine Technician to their team on Lake George, NY.

• The Ideal Technician has 5+ years of recent experience repairing inboard/outboard engines & transmission systems on marine vessels 
• We will look at technicians with no marine experience that are mechanically inclined and have experience in one of the following, Automotive, Small Engines, RV's
• Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot gas engines
• Must be able to read and interpret certain documents such as engine technical manuals
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures and ability to troubleshoot to determine causes of operating errors and decide what to do about them; and acting without supervision on repairs
• Experience identifying worn/faulty components on either commercial or pleasure crafts 
• Experience working with inboard/outboard marine engines is preferred 

Compensation:

• Up to $25.00 - $35.00/hour to start, based on previous experience/certifications/training
• Efficiency Bonus up to $5/hr
• Benefits Available & Paid by the company
• Company-Paid OEM/Factory On-going Training

Shift Schedule:

• Day Shift, 7:00AM – 3:30PM, Monday – Friday
• Some Saturdays during the summer
• OT after 40 hours
