Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on diesel commercial and delivery trucks
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical components, and generator systems
• Build, fabricate, and modify commercial vehicles, generators, trailers, and related equipment
• Read generator drawings, blueprints, and schematics to support accurate troubleshooting and repairs
• Use standard and power tools to complete mechanical, electrical, and fabrication work safely and efficiently

Requirements

• Required:

• • 2+ years of hands-on diesel engine repair experience
  • Working knowledge of generator systems, operation, and maintenance
  • Diagnostic experience with diesel engines, electrical components, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret generator drawings, blueprints, and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, and basic computer skills
  • Self-motivated work style with the ability to complete repairs with limited supervision
  • Clean driving record and ability to operate standard and power tools

• Preferred:

• • 3+ years of hands-on experience repairing commercial trucks, generators, trailers, or similar diesel-powered equipment
  • Commercial Driver’s License preferred; may be obtained after hire
  • Generator technician certification from the Electrical Generating Systems Association (EGSA)
