Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, air brake, suspension, driveline, clutch, and emissions systems
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on the company fleet of commercial trucks, trailers, light- and medium-duty vehicles, and seasonal equipment
- Diagnose and repair gasoline-powered service vehicles and small engines used in lawn care and snow removal equipment
- Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, and testing procedures to identify issues, complete repairs, and confirm proper operation
- Support daily fleet repair priorities independently and alongside other technicians; complete welding and fabrication work when qualified
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair needs, progress, and completed work with team members and management

- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience in diesel, automotive, small-engine, equipment maintenance, or a related field
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and related vehicle or equipment issues
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, dependable work habits, and commitment to quality repairs
- Ability to work independently, collaborate with other technicians, and communicate repair updates clearly
- Must provide the personal tools needed to perform the job
- Valid driver’s license

- 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience with commercial trucks, trailers, or heavy equipment
- Welding and fabrication experience
- CDL-A license

- 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM, Evening shift, Monday to Friday
- Rotating weekend on-call coverage
Compensation
- $25.00 – $40.00/hour based on experience and qualifications
