Hey, new user here!

I run a small construction company here, and I'm in need of Excavator. Got about 100,000 for it, and I don't yet know what to choose. Catepillars are great, but expensive, so I am thinking about used equipment, and I hope to get something decent for this kind of money. You know, something that won't die on it's first job. Got my eye on this list of used excavators for sale (linked for convenience). There is a lot of used machinery for sale, but as I said i have about 100k. Can you tell me if there is anything worth checking out / buying?

Hello, ya like the other guy said what size? As well what is your primary purpose or needs --- Do you want speed , reliability etc? Personally I used to bleed cat yellow however have since been converted the past few years to anything but other than dozer applications.

5 useful TIPS to buy a used mini excavator

1)

Make sure you know what job you are going to do with the machine.

important is to know the weight of the mini excavator and the digging depth.

In most cases this will determine the size of the machine you select.

Under sizing will result in not being able to do the job effectively.

Over sizing will result in the purchase of a more expensive machine and extra fuel consumption due to the fact that a larger machine has a bigger engine.

2)

Make sure you buy the right buckets with the machine. An over sized bucket will result in overloading the machine or even cause the machine to tip over which can be very dangerous. Also selecting the wrong bucket will result in ineffective work performed and loss of productivity.

3)

Ones you have selected the weight of the machine and its other specifications, start looking for a reliable supplier. A reliable supplier will be honest about the condition of the used mini excavator in his inventory. In most cases the reliable supplier will know the machine history or at least who was the previous owner.

4)

Checking the condition yourself is an important step in buying the right used mini excavator.

Best check on the following important items:

-Condition of the (rubber) tracks. Tracks that have less than 40% of the remaining life left will need replacement earlier, this will result in higher maintenance costs.

5)

Make sure you investigate the price level of machines, but all used mini excavators are unique therefore determine a price bandwidth. Also brand can influence the market price. Some brands such as Kubota, Takeuchi, caterpillar can be very popular in some countries, this can vary a lot country by country.

Thanks !!!
