Hello All. We have a 2008 Thomas C2 Safetyliner. It has the battery light coming on on the dash, and the readout in the dash indicates 10.9 to 11.4 volts. System voltage is good when tested at various areas in the bus, it is around 13.9-14.2 volts. I have cleaned all the weatherhead connections, and put on die electric grease, cleaned grounds, and any junction I can find. I exchanged the dash of another bus, and put in this unit, but still the same problem. Has any one have ideas as to what to look for. It is a Multiplex wired bus.

Thanks for any help.

sounds like mux is not getting the signal from engine run or signal from alt its working, blown fuse, bad relay, loose connection, good luck

Thanks Busman, for your help. I did find the problem. One of the wires in the loom going to the dash was pinched off,and causing the problem. Repaired it, and put the bus back to work.

Good find! These buses have given us a lot of wiring problems, especially on the 2006 models. The routing of the wiring is one problem and bad grounds.
