Arabian Agencies Company (Araco) has unveiled three new machines from Volvo Construction Equipment, including a state-of-the-art simulator that would provide high-tech training to excavator operators.

Araco Sales & Business Development manager Walid Dowidar described the launching of Volvo’s EW205D wheeled excavator, MC60C skid steer loader, and the DD25 asphalt compactor as a “timely event” in the wake of Qatar’s construction boom.

He added that the highlight of the exclusive viewing of the machines, which was held last week at the Al Gassar Resort, was the unveiling of the Volvo Simulated Operator Training.

Volvo Construction Equipment application engineer Amro Elrefaei said: “The simulator makes Volvo probably the first dealer for construction equipment in Qatar to offer such a tool that would add value to the services we provide our customers by giving us the opportunity to train their operators.

“I think this is a unique concept in Qatar because the simulator allows us to teach operators how to use the machine correctly and how to be more productive by maximising the features of the equipment,” Elrefaei told Gulf Times.

“Once customers buy the EW205D wheeled excavator, they can send an operator and we will prepare a specific type of training based on an initial test that determines the operator’s skills level,” he said.

The EW205D is a new 20 tonne wheeled excavator designed to increase efficiency with advanced technology, including Volvo’s unique ECO mode and a powerful engine. Its superior digging and mobile tool carrying machine works with ultimate efficiency both off and on-road.

Meanwhile, the MC60C skid steer loader boasts of a single loader arm designed for performance, durability, improved visibility, and enhanced side-entry cab access. The vertical lift’s height and reach makes it ideal for truck loading and material handling applications, while cab access ensures safer side entry access and eliminates the need to climb over a muddy and slippery bucket or attachment.

Volvo’s more than 40-year experience in asphalt compaction guarantees that the DD25 small double drum compactor would deliver smooth, precise performance every time. With 360° visibility, machined drums, and selectable frequencies, companies can adapt to smaller compaction projects to raise profitability, without compromising on quality.

Alfardan Automotive Group chief operating officer Mohamed Kandeel said: “Volvo focuses on quality, safety, and environment care. Quality reflects the promise to deliver reliable products and services, safety is about reducing the risks of accidents and mitigating the consequences of any incidents that may occur, and environmental care reflects our social responsibility and commitment to reduce the impact on the environment either from the product or service.

“Araco is committed to be the ever-increasing expectations of our customers. In such a highly-competitive market, quality, productivity, and unlimited support matters most to stay ahead of the game.

“Our customers are the core value of our business strategy. They form part of our extended family and we stay focused on supporting them through offering top sales and after sales services.

“The launching of Volvo’s three new machines does not only answer customer’s needs but will also help us enhance our business relationship and business offering to our clients,” Kandeel said.

Under the wing of the Alfardan management, Araco is the authorised dealer of Volvo Construction Equipment, Scania Trucks and Buses, Powerscreen, Astec and C&OH in Qatar.
