Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, including engines, brakes, steering, transmissions, electrical systems, and body components.
• Perform preventive maintenance, state inspections, and DOT inspections using established checklists and procedures.
• Read work orders and use diagnostic software to identify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Perform general and routine welding with or without prints.
• Complete repair orders, preventive maintenance records, inspection documentation, and time cards accurately.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area while communicating effectively with customers, coworkers, and vendors.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• • Hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel-powered trucks.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with diesel engines, brakes, steering, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to perform general or routine welding.
  • Ability to use diagnostic software, inspect completed work, and organize repairs to meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced shop.
  • Must pass a motor vehicle report, criminal background check, and drug screen.
