Seeking a full-time Diesel Truck Mechanic to work in a well-established, heavy-duty truck repair shop in West Sacramento, CA. The role focuses on comprehensive diagnostics, engine work, and fleet maintenance. Work in a collaborative, quality-focused environment with strong emphasis on thorough repairs and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

Must-Haves:

• 5+ years of diesel mechanic experience
• Strong diagnostic skills across multiple systems (brakes, steering, suspension, air systems, engines, after-treatment)
• Proficiency with diagnostic software (J Pro, Cummins Insight, Cat, Detroit, E-Tech, Bendix)
• Own tools
• Stable work history (minimal job-hopping)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Nice-to-Haves:

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Engine rebuild experience
• Custom fabrication/welding skills
• Experience with on-site fleet maintenance

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly wage: $45–$60/hour based on experience (union scale)

Hours:

• Standard: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday
• Overtime: 0–5 hours weekly (paid after 40 hours/week)
