Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, annual safety inspections, and repairs on trucks and specialized equipment.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, emissions systems, hydraulic systems, and related mechanical issues.
• Service Class 3–9 highway trucks, trailers, hydrovac and vacuum equipment, municipal equipment, hydraulic equipment, and similar specialty units.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Inspect equipment, identify repair needs, and confirm safe, reliable operation after service.
• Support daily shop repair priorities while following safe and effective work practices.

Requirements

• Required:

• • 3+ years of mechanic experience with on-highway trucks, heavy equipment, or specialty equipment such as hydrovac, hydraulic, or municipal units.
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, emissions systems, and hydraulic systems.
  • Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician licence; 2nd- or 3rd-level apprentices are also considered.
  • Clean driver’s abstract.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to complete maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs safely and efficiently.
