A long-established family-owned trucking fleet in Haines City, FL is hiring a Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair tractors and trailers. Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers.
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using computer diagnostic tools when applicable.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel engine systems, including turbos, injectors, fan clutches, and cooling systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including starters, alternators, ECMs, ECUs, and sensors.
• Service and repair steering, brake, ABS, spring suspension, and air suspension systems.
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced fleet maintenance environment.

Requirements

• Required:

• • Technical training or hands-on experience in diesel engine troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electronic truck systems.
  • Must provide basic personal hand tools; specialty and diagnostic equipment are provided.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and able to manage problems as they arise.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced fleet maintenance environment.
