Job Description
Seeking an experienced Heavy Truck or Coach Technician to join a well-organized maintenance team supporting a fleet of 14 buses in Dallas, TX. The role focuses on diagnostic work and repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines and components in a calm, predictable work environment with a small, experienced team.
Requirements:
Must-haves:
- Minimum 3 years experience in diesel mechanics (heavy-duty trucks, buses, or coaches)
- Proficiency in brakes, suspension, transmission, and engine diagnostics
- Conversational Spanish language skills
- Valid driver's license
- Own tools
- Willingness to work on-site skills assessment
Nice-to-haves:
- Volvo or Prevost coach experience
- Class B/CDL license
- Industry certifications
- Experience with electronic components and electrical systems
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $30–$35/hour (firm top rate at $35/hour)

Hours:
- Base Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
- Day Shifts: 5:00 AM–1:30 PM or 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (flexible)
- Overtime: Biweekly 4-hour Saturday shifts; overtime paid after 40 hours
- On-Call: Potential field work for roadside breakdowns as experience grows (not common initially)
- Work Environment: Small shop with 2 bays and a lift; well-organized with predictable schedules and minimal emergency callouts
