Job Description
A well-established transportation fleet is hiring an Aluminum Welder/Fabricator in Las Vegas, NV to repair and fabricate tractor-trailers and fleet equipment. Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform minor and major repairs on aluminum open-top tractor-trailers and related fleet equipment.
- Complete aluminum MIG welding, fabrication, cutting, grinding, reinforcing, and repair work on trailer components.
- Diagnose trailer issues and determine appropriate repair methods using measurements, drawings, and repair specifications.
- Perform inspections and diagnostic testing on trucks and trailers, including general trailer maintenance and mechanical repairs.
- Inspect completed welds and repairs to ensure quality, safety, and structural integrity.
- Maintain accurate repair records and a safe, clean, organized work environment.
Requirements
- Required:

- Previous hands-on experience with aluminum welding and fabrication on tractor-trailers, truck bodies, heavy-duty equipment, or similar commercial equipment.
- Strong experience with aluminum MIG welding, aluminum fabrication, and component repair.
- Experience repairing, reinforcing, modifying, and fabricating aluminum components.
- Working mechanical knowledge of trucks, trailers, or related commercial equipment.
- Ability to read and understand basic measurements, drawings, and repair specifications.
- Ability to safely operate welders, grinders, cutting equipment, and other shop tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and safely perform the physical demands of welding and fabrication work.

- Experience with trailer brakes, suspension, lighting, and related trailer components.
- Welding certifications preferred but not required; relevant hands-on experience will be considered.

Shifts
- Day shift, Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Overtime opportunities available
Compensation
- $28.00 – $32.00/hour based on experience
- Weekly pay with time and a half for overtime
- $1,000 sign-on bonus
