Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair inboard marine diesel engines on luxury yachts
• Perform preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, adjustments, and engine overhauls
• Service transmissions, hydraulic systems, and related marine propulsion components
• Use diagnostic tools, power tools, and specialty tools to identify issues and confirm repairs
• Travel up to 50% for on-site service work
• Communicate professionally with customers and support daily repair priorities with the service team

Requirements

• Required:

• • At least 2 years of hands-on experience as a diesel technician
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting experience with diesel engines and related mechanical systems
  • Working knowledge of marine transmissions, hydraulic systems, and inboard engine components
  • Strong customer service skills, dependable work habits, and the ability to work effectively with a team
  • Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record
  • Able to work in tight spaces, lift up to 50 lbs, and safely use power and specialty tools
  • Must live in the greater Tidewater area or be willing to relocate and travel up to 50% for service work
