Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair inboard marine diesel engines on luxury yachts
- Perform preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, adjustments, and engine overhauls
- Service transmissions, hydraulic systems, and related marine propulsion components
- Use diagnostic tools, power tools, and specialty tools to identify issues and confirm repairs
- Travel up to 50% for on-site service work
- Communicate professionally with customers and support daily repair priorities with the service team
Requirements
- Required:

- At least 2 years of hands-on experience as a diesel technician
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting experience with diesel engines and related mechanical systems
- Working knowledge of marine transmissions, hydraulic systems, and inboard engine components
- Strong customer service skills, dependable work habits, and the ability to work effectively with a team
- Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record
- Able to work in tight spaces, lift up to 50 lbs, and safely use power and specialty tools
- Must live in the greater Tidewater area or be willing to relocate and travel up to 50% for service work

Compensation
- $25.00 – $35.00/hour based on experience and qualifications
- Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
- Annual year-end performance bonus opportunity
