Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine service on fleet vehicles, generators, and mechanical equipment in accordance with manufacturer and safety guidelines.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulics, and electrical/electronic systems.
- Conduct DOT-required inspections and ensure vehicles remain compliant and road-ready.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure service histories are complete and up to date.
- Perform minor body, fender, welding, and fabrication repairs as needed.
- Support safe, efficient shop operations and complete other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Required
- 4+ years of relevant hands-on repair experience or an associate degree in a related mechanical field (diesel, automotive, or similar).
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and mechanical equipment.
- Working knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulics, and electrical/electronic systems.
- Ability to operate powered industrial equipment, such as forklifts and man lifts.
- Ability to pass pre-employment background, drug, and agility testing.
- Preferred
- Class A CDL.
