An established heavy equipment repair company is hiring a Traveling Field Mechanic / Technician in Phoenix, AZ for fly-in / fly-out repair work. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of diesel repair experience and strong diagnostic skills. Apply now for competitive pay and a wide variety of work.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on heavy equipment and trucks at customer and job sites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment using major diagnostic platforms and software.
• Complete major field repairs, including internal engine and transmission work on-site.
• Weld and fabricate as needed in support of repairs in the field.
• Work on-site where equipment is located rather than in a traditional shop setting.
• Travel to assigned job sites as needed in support of customer work, including potential out-of-state travel across the Western United States.

Requirements

• Required:

• • At least 5 years of relevant diesel repair experience.
  • Strong diagnostic ability and overall troubleshooting foundation.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Experience with CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, Volvo diagnostic software, and JPRO.
  • Welding and fabrication skills.
  • Stick welding ability.
  • Ability to perform maintenance, repair, and major component work in the field.
