A long-established, family-owned waste and recycling company is hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Shiloh, OH to repair dozers, excavators, loaders, compactors, and haul trucks. Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, engine, and powertrain issues on Cat and Volvo heavy equipment.
• Service landfill compactors, dozers, excavators, wheel loaders, backhoes, haul trucks, and support equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including fluids, filters, inspections, and oil sampling.
• Inspect, measure, and replace undercarriage components and complete final drive and track-system repairs.
• Complete shop and onsite breakdown repairs using the maintenance truck across the landfill property.
• Clean cooling packages and radiators, perform welding and fabrication, and maintain accurate repair records.

Requirements

• Required:

• • Hands-on repair experience with heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, or comparable mobile equipment; transferable agricultural, heavy truck diesel, quarry, mining, construction, and scrap-yard equipment backgrounds are also considered.
  • Strong hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills, including reading schematics and tracing faults to their source.
  • Must provide personal hand tools; company supplies specialty tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must be at least 19 and legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
  • Must be able to read and speak English.

  • CDL is a plus.
