Job Description

Filling a Shop Technician position in Williston, Florida. Technicians perform preventive maintenance on a fleet of approximately 78 trucks (Mack, Kenworth, and Volvo units, 2019 and newer). Work occurs in a two-bay shop with good flooring and lighting. Mechanics are graded A, B, or C based on capability with progression opportunities.

Requirements:

Must-haves:
• Minimum one year of experience as a diesel mechanic
• Own hand tools
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to use diagnostic software (e.g., Davey, Volvo Tech Tool)
• Background check, criminal record check, and drug screening clearance

Nice-to-haves:
• Two or more years of experience
• ASE certifications (each certification adds $0.35/hour)
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Experience with Volvo or Mack engines
• Ability to perform diagnostic work using computer systems

Compensation & Benefits:
• $24.42 - $31.54  based on experience and certifications (ASE certifications add $0.35/hour each)

Hours:
• Second shift: 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
• No on-call requirements
• Overtime: 2–10 hours weekly
• Occasional field work: tire changes or driver assistance using shop truck
• Shop must close by 11:00 p.m.; technicians may assist with getting vehicles moved or completed
