Fleet Mechanic – Gas & Diesel
Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on gas and diesel fleet vehicles, including tire replacement, lubrication, and minor electrical and cooling system repairs.
- Maintain trailers and warehouse equipment, including walkie riders, forklifts, pallet jacks, and powered hand carts.
- Complete federal annual inspections, repair reports, and maintenance records with accuracy and consistency.
- Follow OSHA, FMCSA, and all federal, state, and local safety regulations while using required personal protective equipment.
- Communicate repair status and maintenance needs with co-workers and supervisors.
- Transport equipment to outside repair vendors as needed.
- Order parts and help manage fleet parts inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe garage environment.
- Support assigned workloads with dependable attendance, overtime as needed, and other related duties.
Requirements
- Required:

- 1+ year of experience working on medium- to heavy-duty trucks.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured for company vehicle operation.
- Working knowledge of diagnostic software.
- Ability to work around fumes, airborne particles, toxic materials, moving equipment, and loud noise.
- Ability to support fleet safety, reliability, and compliance standards.

- Vocational/Technical training or an Associate Degree in diesel mechanics.

- 4:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
- 4-day workweek

- Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday off
Compensation
- $29.50 – $37.00/hour starting pay based on experience level
- Overtime paid after 40 hours worked per week
