Job Description
Actively searching for a Diesel Mechanic for a shop in Westchester Township, OH. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty diesel trucks in a shop environment with field service capabilities. You'll work with modern diagnostic software and quality-focused systems in a clean, organized facility. The shop operates a 24/7 road service program and handles complex repairs ranging from routine maintenance to engine rebuilds.
Requirements
Must-haves:
Minimum 5 years of Class 8 diesel mechanic experience
Proficiency reading schematics and diagnostic manuals
Ability to use multimeters and follow guided diagnostics (Cummins Insight, Volvo Vtech, Mitchell, etc.)
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to pull codes and follow diagnostic trees
Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no reckless driving, speeding, or DUI within 3 years)
Own hand tools up to 3/4" drive
Nice-to-haves:
OEM manufacturer or dealership training on regen, SDR, and DPF systems
Eaton Rockwell brake certifications
Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean record may qualify for additional compensation
Experience with in-frame engine rebuilds, head swaps, or transmission work
Volvo or Cummins Master Certification
Compensation & Benefits
Wage Range: $30$40/hour (based on qualifications; may exceed with justified experience)
Paid uniforms (6 pairs pants/shirts; seasonal jackets and coveralls)

Overtime available and encouraged when workload permits
Hours
Schedule: Two shifts 7:00 AM2:30 PM (with paid lunch) or 8:00 AM3:30 PM
Overtime available; weekend work is voluntary, never mandatory
On-call rotation (frequency varies with staffing): Double-time pay + paid 1-hour drive-in time
No back-to-back call-outs when possible
Field service work available
