Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform minor to major repairs on diesel trucks and trailers.
- Service diesel engines, exhaust aftertreatment systems, and related truck and trailer components.
- Use engine diagnostic software and testing procedures to identify problems and plan repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and regular service to keep fleet equipment operating safely.
- Complete roadside service calls as needed and support daily fleet maintenance priorities.
- Maintain accurate repair records, basic personal hand tools, and a safe, clean, organized work area.
Requirements
- Required:

- Proven hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic or diesel technician working on trucks, trailers, or similar heavy-duty equipment.
- Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, exhaust aftertreatment systems, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs independently in a fast-paced fleet environment.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must provide basic personal hand tools; specialty and larger tools are provided.
- Occasional travel to Wilmington, NC required.
- Must pass pre-employment screening, including a drug test and background check.
- Preferred:

- Class A CDL preferred but not required.
- Welding experience preferred but not required.

Shifts
- Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Overtime opportunities available

Compensation
- $24.00 – $27.00/hour starting pay based on experience and qualifications
- Weekly pay with time and a half for overtime
